London Fashion Week is always our favourite of the four, and that isn’t because of hometown bias. From the five days of breathtaking fashion fun, here’s Lounge by Zalando round up of the best LFW designers and trends to look out for.

Bora Aksu presented an ethereal collection with models taking to the runaway in fairy tulle tutus and intricate lace dresses, complete with floral tiaras. Inspired by his childhood summers he spent at his family country house in Izmir, a city on Turkey’s Aegean coast, his palette of pastel pinks, lemon, white as well brighter hues of burnt orange and fuchsia evoked a summer garden.

JW Anderson collection was anything but ordinary. The Northern Irish designer presented a quirky collection of jogging bottoms, elevated shoulder pads, Keith Haring-esque prints, dual white and black heart patterned shoulder bags and models sported slick braided ponytails. The love affair with the 1980s endures.
Sensible flat shoes – be they trainers, sandals or loafers were everywhere on the London catwalks. Burberry Prorsum showcased Birkenstock-like sandals with crisscross upper, either adorned with industrial-size chains or gold embroidery.

Christopher Kane, who sparked the trend for "pool sliders" this summer, updated them in black and burgundy leather. Comfort doesn’t have to be the foe of style!
Hats look to be taking a nautical edge in 2016. At the Mother of Pearl show, models strutted down the runaway in classic straw boaters. Ahoy![caption id="attachment_1131" align="aligncenter" width="610"]

Pink is a shade that is sartorial femininity and it was a prevalent colour used by designers, with presences at shows like Angel Chen, Felder Felder and as mentioned Bora Aksu. Louder versions of the colour popped up but we favour powder pink, a shade we reckon that radiates on the skin for women as well as men.
